But, is it practical?

Does anyone else find themselves getting sucked into literally EVERYTHING on social media? I follow so many accounts where they are constantly recommending products on Amazon, from an avocado slicer to a zip-tie organizer. The links are too easy to use, and I feel as if I just have to BUY IT NOW. My personal way to try to alleviate this has been to add it to my “Save for Later” cart on Amazon, which is likely up to $1 million at this point. I do enjoy watching this content and finding fun products, but I also don’t want to spend money daily ordering nonsense online. Trust me, I’ve done it.

I want to try to only purchase what I actually need and make sure it’s a practical purchase. Will I keep this item forever—or for a very long time? Will this product solve a problem or enhance an experience? Will it fit a home décor plan that I’ve had, or is it just a quick purchase to fill an empty space? I want to show people different products that I love without the pressure of pushing a product to sell. I enjoy chatting with friends and sharing links to things we truly love—not just things we NEED because they’re a hot Amazon seller.

I’d like to introduce my first practical buy. Which is something that I use every single day! I see so many homes with dozens, likely more, of cute coffee mugs. So many mugs with pretty patterns and silly sayings. If you go to HomeGoods, you could stock up on so many gorgeous mugs. Would I love to? YES! But for me? It’s not practical. I drink my coffee slowly and I hate to heat it up in the microwave. Insert Amazon product that you just NEED TO BUY-JK! The coffee mug warmers that keep coffee hot for 8 hours, or the actual coffee mug that stays hot. I don’t want to have to charge a coffee mug, or plug in a warmer on my end table or at my work desk to keep it there. Instead, I have 2 Yeti coffee mugs that I alternate between and have used them for years! I would love some more fun colors one day, but my current coffee mug situation is practical. I don’t have dozens of cute mugs – even though I would love to! Does the top of the Yeti lid get stained from drinking black coffee? Yes, it’s fully stained, but I’m the only one using them in the house, so it’s practical. Am I gross for drinking black coffee? Also, probably yes. But I think that coffee is a sacred ritual and should only be enjoyed the EXACT way that you love coffee, however that is! So here it is, my first practical recommendation for a coffee mug.

But, is it practical?

Worth bringing home if: You drink your coffee slowly, want it to stay hot, and would rather own a couple of mugs you use constantly than a cabinet full of them.

Probably skip it if: You already have mugs you love and don’t have a problem keeping your coffee hot.
