My first stop in the morning is always the coffee bar! Whether it’s a weekday morning when I enjoy my coffee while logging into work or a weekend when my husband is home and we get to enjoy it together, I’m always stopping at the coffee bar first thing!
I don’t have one of those super decorative, cute coffee bars. I think one day I’d love to spend some time and money on that area of our home. For now, our current setup is super practical and efficient.
Our two coffee makers are very loved. I’ve been using this same Ninja for at least 4 years and I love it so much. Our first one broke after a few years, and I purchased the exact same one because I think it’s the best for us. I personally just drink a single serving of coffee each morning, and I love this Ninja because it makes it by the cup or carafe! The larger serving size fits into my Yeti coffee mug perfectly! The Nespresso machine is the best for weekend coffees and lattes. My husband enjoys an iced latte every weekend and the Nespresso is perfect for that. I’ll post some super simple coffee recipes soon.
Honorable mention to the mat that I keep under our machines. It helps keep this area clean and, well, it helps mitigate messes. Raise your hand if you’ve ever pressed the start button on your coffee maker and totally forgotten to put a mug underneath? Just me??? Anyway, I did it today, which is why you’re able to get a nice before-and-after picture below. I brewed a Nespresso coffee for my husband to make his latte and totally forgot to put his mug there. But that’s okay. The mat underneath soaked it up so that it didn’t spill onto the floor. I gave it a nice wash and set it on the back porch to dry for a few hours, and then I assembled our coffee bar like nothing ever happened. This isn’t the first or last time that will happen. Highly recommend adding one of these mats where you brew your coffee to keep the space clean and, ya know, soak up some of the coffee if somehow you brew it and forget to put a pot/mug under it.
Our coffee canister was given to me by my brother about 5 years ago (AND he gifted the Nespresso about 6 years ago) and it’s perfect. It gives a great seal to keep the coffee fresh. I can’t find our exact one, but I have one linked below that seems similar. I think that would be a very practical purchase because it should last a very long time!

But is it practical? Absolutely. Is it the cutest, most Pinterest-worthy coffee bar you’ve ever seen? Probably not. But we use it every single day, everything we need is right there, and apparently the mat can save the day when someone forgets to put a mug under the coffee maker. That’s practical enough for me!
Worth Bringing Home If…
You make coffee at home regularly and want a setup that makes your mornings easy. And I especially recommend the mat if you, too, occasionally forget the very important step of putting a mug under your coffee maker!
Skip It If…
You rarely make coffee at home or already have a setup that works perfectly for you. No need to buy things just to make a coffee bar look cute!
